Sinead O’Connell

Sinead first sang on stage at the age of four and has been singing since!
She is a qualified singer and having completed Grade 8 with the Royal Irish Academy, later went on to achieve a Diploma in classical voice performance from the London College of Music. She specialises in Church Music and regularly sings at ceremonies both as a solo performer accompanying herself with piano and guitar and as part of the Mimosa Trio of which she is a founding member. She has been involved with many choral groups and is currently the musical director of a local church choir in Castleknock. She is experienced on stage having been involved in a number of musical/light opera productions (including the role of Petti Sing in the Mikado) and has sung both solo and as part of a choir on RTE television on several occasions. She has directed a number of musicals including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story.
As an experienced secondary school teacher education is close to her heart and she recently completed a Diploma in Community and Group Music Teaching with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She teaches voice and guitar in both solo and group lessons.
