Welcome to the Castleknock Music Competition! 

 

The competitions will take place on the 5th and 6th of April 2025
at Castleknock Community College with The Prizewinners Concert
presented in Vernon Studio at the Royal Irish Academy of Music on Tuesday the 8th of April.

The competition is open for emerging musicians of all ages.

Participating in a competition is a great opportunity for young musicians to build their stage confidence, obtain more experience in public performance, make new friends and receive memorable prizes and certificates and valuable feedback from the experienced adjudicators. There is a large number of different categories available to choose from.

Concerto Performance Opportunities with an orchestra at the Castleknock Music Festival in July 2025

Bach 340 Anniversary Prize 
for the best performance of a work by J.S.Bach throughout the competitions
 

Masterclasses with distinguished international adjudicators 

The online entries are opened on the 10th of February
and will be closed on the 10th of March 2025

Entry fees are €30 - Solo competitions,
€40 - Duo Competitions (one piece)
€50 - Repertoire and Chamber Music Competitions

 

Masterclasses  - 45 minutes session - €70

Piano accompanists are provided for an additional fee.
